Real communication is more than just words—it’s how we connect, understand, and express ourselves in every aspect of life.  It shapes our relationships and how we engage with the world.

When we take a holistic approach to communication—recognizing that individual tools and strategies are interconnected and build on one another—teachable moments naturally open up in everyday life. This course helps you make the most of those moments and shows you how to create an environment where your child feels safe and supported as they learn and practice essential communication skills, enabling them to navigate both their inner world and interactions with others.

In this course, you’ll learn step-by-step how to help your child become a confident, skilled communicator. You’ll discover how to guide them in building self-awareness, managing emotions, and mastering essential conversation skills to navigate both everyday situations and life’s tougher challenges.

Meet Your Trainer

Lora Brawley

I’m passionate about empowering parents and nannies to teach children the essential communication skills that foster high emotional intelligence and emotional and mental well-being.  As a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, certified family mediator, communications trainer, and conflict coach, I offer a unique blend of user-friendly tools, common-sense strategies, and intuitive guidance to students.  I’m all about connection, teachable moments, a growth mindset, child-focused positive communication and conflict resolution skills, and the fundamental idea that behavior missteps are just kids (and adults!) trying to get their needs met.

This course sets you up for success, no matter where you or your child is starting from.

You don’t need to be a master communicator to teach these skills to kids. The good news is, you learn as you teach, making us better parents and caregivers along the way.

Creating the right framework for your kids can seem like an overwhelming task.  That’s why I break it down into small, workable steps that build on each other and become part of your everyday life.

It’s never too early to start building the foundation for strong communication skills.  Kids as young as two can begin developing these skills, however the window of learning never closes.  Older kids can learn communication skills just as well.  In this course, you’ll learn how to guide and support your child, no what their age.

 This course includes:
